As a 62-year-old individual who is blind, I knew this would be a challenge and an awesome experience. I loved feeling the wind blowing through my hair, going up the long and sometimes steep hill climbs and being able to stop at any of the rest areas. We continued after Waterloo on Saturday, finishing in Milwaukee. I thank the mechanic at one of the rest stops, Wheel and Sprocket team for the moral support, Challenge Athletes Foundation and Catapult for the grants to help financially. I thank my pilot Bob Springer the most for his impressive cycling abilities to pilot the tandem. There are different types of rides allowing all to participate no matter your level of cycling.
