Ride Overview
2025 is our 10th Anniversary of RAW & we’re taking a victory lap.
And by lap, we mean a loop…around the confluence of the crystal clear Eau Claire and Chippewa Rivers in beautiful Eau Claire! What’s more, it will be a one-day event on Saturday, July 12, 2025.
Cycling around Eau Claire, WI offers a scenic and enjoyable experience, with a mix of well-maintained roads, trails, and picturesque views. The city is surrounded by lush forests, rolling hills, and rivers, creating a perfect backdrop for cyclists.
180 mile loop - Your ride will begin and end at Phoenix Park. The route takes you south of Eau Claire, winding through the rolling hills of North Trempealeau County, before heading back through Eau Claire County (where you can shorten the 180-mile ride to 100 miles if needed). You'll continue through Chippewa and Dunn Counties, eventually returning to Eau Claire. Along the way, you'll visit working farms and stop at Wisconsin’s top photo destination, Dells Mill, a historic five-story structure built in 1864. Upon your return to Phoenix Park, you can enjoy a tasty taco bar and a refreshing cold beer to recharge.

Family Ride - Route is 13.5 miles in length - Biking on Eau Claire Bridges . With two rivers and a lake in the heart of our town, there are some amazing bridges to be crossed. On this epic ride you’ll cross ten of them (a few multiple times, and eight of which are pedestrian/bike-only), as well as enjoy five city parks, ride through two tunnels, and see many sights along the way.
RAW 2025 = Road Riding
Ride Across Wisconsin will take place on Paved Roads only, in 2025. Personal preference and comfort are key to which bike you selected for your RAW. Riders have opted to travel by fat bike and even tandems to make RAW even more challenging. While that might only be for a very few riders, it does prove that you can finish RAW on pretty much any bike if you have the fitness, mental strength, and will.
Bikes welcome on RAW: road, gravel, triathlon, mountain, hybrid, electric, recumbent, handcycle, fat, tandem… if we didn’t list your bike, drop us a line and we’ll let you know if it’s welcome… chances are, it is!
E-Bike Across Wisconsin
180 miles is no joke, but it can be so much more fun on an electric bike. Anyone is welcome to ride an e-bike on RAW, self-supported. There will be power strips for rider use at various rest stops - details to come. Riders must bring their own chargers, batteries, and any other e-bike related supplies. Having an extra battery and a personal SAG is the way that seems to provide e-bike riders with the best experience.
Please use your discretion on which bike to ride.
